AUSTRIAN AIRLINES TO INCREASE PRESENCE ON CROATIAN MARKET IN S2020

Austrian Airlines (OS), flag carrier of Austria, member of Star Alliance and Lufthansa Group, will operate services to Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik and Zadar during the 2020 summer season. As previously reported, Austrian will increase the Croatia services with 7 weekly flights to Zadar. 


Austrian Airlines will operate total of 43 weekly flights to Croatian airports, 7 to Split, 7 to Zadar, 10 to Dubrovnik and 19 rotations to Zagreb.

Austrian Airlines will operate flights to Split from March 23rd to October 24th 2020. During the first week of operations, Austrian will operate 2 rotations to biggest Dalmatian city while from March 30th it will operate daily. Flights will depart at 13:10 from Vienna landing in Slit at 14:25. The return flight will depart Split at 15:15 and land in Vienna at 16:25. Flights will be operated by Austrian Airlines Airbus A321. Flights to Vienna will also be operated by 4 weekly rotations by Croatia Airlines. Austrian Airlines codeshares on OU flights. 


Austrian Airlines will operate flights to Dubrovnik between March 23rd and November 1st 2020. During the first week of summer schedule, Austrian will operate 2 rotations to Dubrovnik on Monday and Sunday, while the service will increase the following week to daily operations. During the last week of operations, service will be downgraded to 5 weekly rotations. Flights will depart Vienna at 13:00 and land in Dubrovnik at 14:15. The return flight will depart Dubrovnik at 15:00 landing in Vienna at 16:25. Flights will be operated by Austrian Airlines Airbus A321. 

On May 29th, Austrian will introduce additional Friday flights to Dubrovnik. The flight will depart Vienna at 10:25 and land in Dubrovnik at 11:35. The return flight will depart Dubrovnik at 12:20 and land in Vienna at 13:45. Friday service will run until November 29th and will be operated by Austrian Airlines Embraer 195. 

Additional service will be introduced on May 30th departing Vienna at 07:10 and landing in Dubrovnik at 08:20. The return flight will depart Dubrovnik at 09:05 and land in Vienna at 10:30. During the first week of operations, flight will be operated on Saturdays, while from the following week it will be upgraded to operate Saturdays and Sundays, until the end of service. The last flight will be operated on September 27th. Austrian Airlines will use its Embraer 195 on this route. 


Austrian Airlines will continue to operate its year round service to Croatian capital during the 2020 summer season. Flights are operated three times a day, except on Saturdays and Sundays seeing two OS rotations. Austrian will use its Bombardier Q400 on this route, except for the evening flight that will be operated by its Embraer 195 aircraft. Vienna is connected with Zagreb also by 11 weekly Croatia Airlines flights operated by Bombardier Q400 aircraft. Austrian Airlines codeshares on OU flights to Vienna.
