EMIRATES RETURNS WITH DAILY SERVICE TO ZAGREB IN S2020

Emirates (EK), state owned airline from United Arab Emirates and fourth largest passenger revenue airline, will be returning to Zagreb with service from Dubai.  Photo 1. Incoming flights will depart Dubai at 08:30 each day landing in Zagreb at 12:40. Return flight will take off from Zagreb Airport at 13:35 and land in Dubai at 23:05. Same as last year, flights will be operated by Boeing 777 aircraft. 

EUROWINGS RETURNS WITH SERVICES TO SPLIT

Eurowings (EW), German low cost airline and member of Lufthansa Group, will return to Split during 2020 summer schedule with services to 7 German cities with 33 weekly rotations. Airline is offering additional weekly rotations from Hamburg and Stuttgart, while the cuts are made on Hanover and Berlin services.  Photo 1. Eurowings Airbus A320 aircraft. Source: Flickr . Under Creative Commons license. Eurowings will offer 8 weekly service running daily with double daily flights on Saturdays. Services will be operated by the combination of Airbus A319/320 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Compared to the 2019 summer schedule, Eurowings will retain the same number of weekly flights.  Services to Dortmund will be operated by A319 aircraft on Tuesdays and Saturdays, same as last year. Split will be the only Croatian city to be connected to Dortmund with Eurowings direct flights.  Eurowings will retain daily services between Split and Dortmund during 2020 summer schedule,

SWISS TO CONNECT GENEVA AND DUBROVNIK IN S2020

Swiss International Air Lines (LX), flag carrier of Switzerland and member of Star Alliance and Lufthansa Group, will introduce new service from Geneva to Dubrovnik during 2020 summer schedule.  Photo 1. EASY JET FLIGHTS FROM PARIS TO SPLIT IN S2020

easyJet (U2), British low cost airline, is returning to Split in summer 2020 with flights from Paris. Airline will offer total of 9 weekly flights from Paris Charles de Gaule, operating daily with additional services on Mondays and Saturdays. Service remains unchanged compared to the 2019 summer schedule. Flights will be operated by A320-family aircraft.  easyJet will offer four weekly rotations from Paris Orly Airport operating each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. SMARTWINGS INTRODUCES FLIGHTS FROM WARSAW AND KATOWICE TO SPLIT IN S2020

Service from Katowice will run three times a week, each Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Incoming flight will depart Katowice at 11:50 and land in Split at 13:25 from where the return flight will take off at 14:15 and land in Katowice at 15:50. Flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.  Service from Warsaw will run three times a week, each Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Incoming flight will depart Warsaw at 12:45 and land in Split at 14:40 from where the return flight will take off at 15:30 and land in Warsaw at 17:15. Flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft. 

AER LINGUS REMAINS STABLE ON CROATIAN MARKET IN S2020

Aer Lingus (EI), flag carrier of Ireland and member of International Airlines Group, remains present on Croatian market during S2020 and will continue to offer services to Dubrovnik, Split and Pula.  Photo 1. Cork service will run twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, departing at 11:00 and landing in Dubrovnik at 15:25. Return service will take off from Dubrovnik at 16:05 and land in Cork at 18:50. Service from Dublin will run 5 days a week during April while from May to second half of October it will run on daily basis. Service will depart Dublin at 07:20 and land in Dubrovnik at 11:45, from where it will take off at 12:30 and land in Dublin at 15:05. MAJOR LAUDA EXPANSION IN ZADAR - PART 1

Lauda (OE), Austrian low cost airline and subsidiary of Ryanair Holdings, will open a new base in Zadar where it will base 3 A320 aircraft for the summer operations. Lauda is launching new services to Aarhus, Hamburg, Beauvais, Bremen, Cork, Kaunas, Liverpool, Riga, Toulouse, Vienna and Wroclaw.  Photo 1. Lauda Airbus A320. Source: Flickr . Flights will depart Zadar at 17:10 and land in Aarhus at 19:30 from where it will take off at 19:55 and land in Zadar at 22:15.  Service to Bremen will be operational on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays departing Zadar at 14:00 and landing in Bremen at 16:35. LOT POLISH AIRLINES INTRODUCES NEW FLIGHT TO RIJEKA

AEGEAN CHANGES AIRCRAFT ON ZAGREB FLIGHTS

Under Creative Commons license.  Instead of 4, Aegean will offer 3 weekly flights from Athens to Zagreb, reducing the number of operation but increasing the capacity on existing flights. Instead of Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 aircraft operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Aegean will introduce its Airbus A319 aircraft for morning flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays and Airbus A320 on mid-day flights on Mondays. Thursday service will not be operated in upcoming season.  Aegean Airlines is founded in 1987 as Aegean Aviation. It operates 52 Airbus aircraft (A319, A320 and A321) to 94 destinations. BRITISH TO INCREASE FLIGHTS TO ZAGREB

British Airways (BA), flag carrier of United Kingdom, member of Oneworld alliance and International Airlines Group, will be increasing Zagreb service for two additional rotations. British Airways will operate daily rotations to Zagreb from London Heathrow Airport. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays it will offer double daily services to Croatian capital. Flights will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft. Departures and arrivals for specific days are indicated in the table below.  It is interesting to note the increase of both IAG and British Airways presence on Croatian market. During W2018/19 British operated 7 weekly flights to Zagreb which were upgraded to 8 during spring 2020 and then reduced to 7 during summer 2019. VUELING SERVICE FROM ROME TO DUBROVNIK IN 2020

Vueling Airlines, Spanish low-cost airline and member of International Airlines Group, will be operate service from Rome FCO to Dubrovnik. Under Creative Commons license.  Vueling will return after short hiatus to Dubrovnik on February 15th with two weekly service operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Schedule will change on March 29th when the summer schedule begins. Dubrovnik will see increase of service from two weekly to daily.  From June through beginning of September, Vueling will introduce additional service on Saturdays thus increasing the daily service to 8 weekly, after which season will decrease to four weekly. Between September 21st and October 24th, the end of summer season schedule, service will operate daily departing Rome FCO at 14:50 and land in Dubrovnik at 16:15. Return flight will depart Dubrovnik at 16:55 and land in Rome FC

Flights will be operated by Airbus A319 aircraft.  Flights to Dusseldorf will be operated twice a week.  On Tuesdays, incoming flight will depart from Dusseldorf at 16:05 and land in Dubrovnik at 18:25. VUELING RETURNS TO ZAGREB WITH SEASONAL SERVICE FROM BARCELONA

On Tuesdays, service will depart Barcelona at 07:10 and land in Zagreb at 09:25. Return flight will depart from Zagreb at 10:10 and land in Barcelona at 12:30. On Saturdays, flight will depart Barcelona at 18:35 and land in Zagreb at 20:50, while the return flight will depart Zagreb at 18:35 and land in Barcelona at 22:55. Flights will be operated by A320 aircraft.  Additional weekly rotation will be introduced on Thursdays and operate between August 6th and  September 9th. Source: Flickr . Under Creative Commons license.   Service will be operating each Tuesday and Sunday. On Tuesdays, incoming flights will depart from Stuttgart at 10:30 and land in Osijek at 12:00. The return flight will depart Osijek at 12:35 and land in Stuttgart at 14:15. Sunday service will depart Stuttgart at 06:40 and land in Osijek at 08:35. The return will depart Osijek at 09:25 and land in Stuttgart at 11:20. On both rotations, Eurowings will operate Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 aircraft. 

EASYJET ON SPLIT-AMSTERDAM ROUTE IN S2020

Easy Jet (U2), largest British low cost airline, will be operating flights between Amsterdam and Split in 2020 summer season.  Photo 1. Easy Jet Airbus A320. Source: Flickr . Under Creative Commons license.  Service to Split will be introduced on March 30th and during the first week of operations will maintain three services, on Monday, Friday and Saturday.  Service will further be increased during April, May and June to five weekly, operating on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Flights will be operation on various timings. Split Airport will receive Airbus A320 on this route. From late June until end August, service will further be increased by additional Sunday service increasing the number of weekly flights to 6.  During late tourist season in September and October, service will be downgraded to 5 weekly schedule, with Sunday rotation discontinued. Last rotation is scheduled to operate on October 24th. Services between Amsterdam and Split
