EUROWINGS RETURNS WITH SERVICES TO SPLIT

Eurowings (EW), German low cost airline and member of Lufthansa Group, will return to Split during 2020 summer schedule with services to 7 German cities with 33 weekly rotations. Airline is offering additional weekly rotations from Hamburg and Stuttgart, while the cuts are made on Hanover and Berlin services.

Eurowings will offer 8 weekly service running daily with double daily flights on Saturdays. Services will be operated by the combination of Airbus A319/320 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Compared to the 2019 summer schedule, Eurowings will retain the same number of weekly flights. 


Services to Dortmund will be operated by A319 aircraft on Tuesdays and Saturdays, same as last year. Split will be the only Croatian city to be connected to Dortmund with Eurowings direct flights. 


Eurowings will retain daily services between Split and Dortmund during 2020 summer schedule, the same as last year. Flights will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft. 


Daily service will also run from Hamburg to Split which represents an increase from 2019 six weekly flights. During 2020, airline will add Wednesday service. Flights will be operated by the combination of Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. 


While Hamburg will see the increase of services, flights from Hanover to Split will be cut from 3 weekly to a single operation on Saturdays. Monday and Thursday flights will not be in service during 2020 summer schedule. Saturday rotation will be operated by Airbus A319 aircraft. Split is the only Croatian city connected with direct route to Hanover by Eurowings. 


During 2020 summer schedule, Eurowings will operate daily service from Stuttgart to Split with double daily rotations on Fridays. Second Friday rotation will increase number of weekly flights between the cities compared to 2020 summer schedule when the service operated daily. On this route, Eurowings will utilise Airbus A319 aircraft. 


Berlin Tegel flights are also cut. The 2019 Friday service will not be available during 2020 summer schedule, reducing the rotations to two weekly running on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Eurowings faces severe competition on Berlin route from easyJet that offer services from both Berlin airports.

American Airlines, world's largest airline and member of Oneworld alliance, will upgrade its service to Dubrovnik to 7 weekly rotations during the 2020 summer season. CROATIA AIRLINES CANCELS INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS FROM ADRIATIC AIRPORTS

Croatia Airlines (OU), flag carrier of Croatia, will cancel its international flights from and to Adriatic airports (Rijeka, Split and Dubrovnik) for the time being, due to the pandemics of COVID-19.  Photo 1.
