NORWEGIAN 2020: CHANGES IN DUBROVNIK SUMMER FLIGHTS
Norwegian Air Shuttle (LY), Norwegian budget airline, will be operating flights to Dubrovnik during the 2020 summer flights schedule. While maintaining high frequency of Oslo and Stockholm routes to Dubrovnik, Norwegian has announced several changes in its schedule to and from Dubrovnik. The service from Madrid that used to operate twice weekly will not be reinstated during S2020 schedule, while services to London Gatwick and Barcelona will be downgraded from two to one weekly rotation. This year, Norwegian will serve 9 destinations from Dubrovnik, which includes Barcelona, London Gatwick, Stavanger, Bergen, Oslo, Trondheim, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki.

Norwegian will serve Split from Copenhagen during three periods. During the first period, airline will introduce two weekly rotations from Danish capital which will be operated during 12-weeks period until June 21, each Tuesday and Saturday. Same schedule is planned for the third, post-season period that will see 2 rotations operated during the 9-weeks period. During the high season period, between mid-June and mid-August, Norwegian will upgrade service to three weekly, operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Compared to last year, Norwegian made no changes in the flights frequency. Flights between the cities will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Stockholm flights to Dubrovnik will be operating throughout the 2020 summer flights schedule. Initially, Norwegian will operate the route twice a week, before upgrading it to daily during the high season. From late-August service will be operated twice weekly, each Tuesday and Saturday. Last rotation is scheduled to take place on October 25th. Services will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Same as Stockholm ones, Oslo flights will be running throughout the summer flights schedule. Service will be introduced on April4th and run one weekly during April. Later, service will be upgraded to three weekly running each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. High season flights from Norwegian capital to Dubrovnik will see 9 weekly rotations running daily with double daily service operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays. During post-season period, service will run three times a week before complete stop from October 24th onwards.
London Gatwick service to Dubrovnik will be operated through the summer flight schedule only on Saturdays. Number of weekly flights is decreased compared to S2019 flight schedule when saw two weekly rotations on the route operated each Tuesday and Thursday. 2020 rotations will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Norwegian will return to Dubrovnik with its service from Helsinki, that will be introduced on April 1st and run through the summer flight schedule until October 26th. During the high season, route will be operated with 4 weekly flights running each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. No changes were made compared to the S2019 summer schedule. Service will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Barcelona flights will be downgraded from two weekly to one weekly compared to the 2019 summer schedule. Service will run each Saturday over the 8 weeks period and will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Stavanger schedule to Dubrovnik will see no changes compared to S2019 in terms of number of weekly rotations. This year, service will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays through the 9 week period, utilising Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Bergen flights will remain the same as in S2019, with one weekly service run each Saturday. Flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Flights between Dubrovnik and Trondheim will be operated twice weekly, each Tuesday and Saturday, over the 9 weeks period, same as last year. Service will run during the high season and will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Fleet includes 93 Boeing 737-800, 18 Boeing 737 MAX 8, 18 Boeing 787-8 and 29 Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Norwegian has placed on order additional 92 Boeing 737 MAX 8, 5 Boeing 787-9 and 30 Airbus A321LR. First Airbus A321LR is expected to enter the fleet in 2021.
